The gasification process is based on the thermal biomass decomposition in an atmosphere low on oxygen.
The result is a combustible gas (synthetic natural gas or syngas) of low calorific value (~ 5 MJ/m3) that can be burnt in specially adapted motor engines. The gasification technology Enamora, is based on a compensated pressure bubbling fluidised bed reactor, of small dimensions and high yield.
The main strength of this gasification technology is that it obtains a syngas free of heavy hydrocarbons (tars). In these gasifiers, the conbined action of a chemical catalyst and an area of the reactor where the syngas reaches an elevated temperature, allows the dissociation of the heaviest hydrocarbons present in the syngas.
