BIOMASS GASIFICATION

The "Guascor" solution

The gasification process is based on the thermal biomass decomposition in an atmosphere low on oxygen.

The result is a combustible gas (synthetic natural gas or syngas) of low calorific value (~ 5 MJ/m3) that can be burnt in specially adapted motor engines. The gasification technology Enamora, is based on a compensated pressure bubbling fluidised bed reactor, of small dimensions and high yield.

Advantages of the "Guascor" solution

  • Guaranteed performance and availability
  • Reliability : technology proven on industrial scale during years.
  • Versatility and flexibility : valid solution for various types of biomass.
  • More efficient solution compared to traditional technologies, especially on a small scale.
  • Size: Small plants; 1,000 to 2,000 kW per module.
    - The plant is located where the biomass resource is, avoiding large storage capacities and costly transportation of raw material.
    - Heat and power generation is brought close to its point of consuption
    - It provides the opportunity to transform the rural countryside into agro-energy.
  • Simple operation and maintenance: It provides an integrated solution, compatible with other ativities and local industries

The main strength of this gasification technology is that it obtains a syngas free of heavy hydrocarbons (tars). In these gasifiers, the conbined action of a chemical catalyst and an area of the reactor where the syngas reaches an elevated temperature, allows the dissociation of the heaviest hydrocarbons present in the syngas.
